Could you also please have the abandoned tree, reassigned to the nearest relative. (There appears to be a problem with pressing "Abandoned Trees" for basic users)
By chance I discovered I have a list of requested relationship paths {named Recently Requested Paths, many were requested several years ago}. Since the page isn't referred to on my Home page or among the FAQs it would be useful if the page's existence and URL were included somewhere prominent so all users know about it.
This profile is abandoned David Lewis
(could a curator please reassign the unclaimed profiles they manage) The Abandoned Trees function does not seem to work correctly for basic users
Private User
I know from another discussion that you got the idea that curators get better results from reporting Abandoned Trees than Basic users do. But that isn't the case. All users can report a tree as abandoned if the manager / user is inactive and the profile has not been reported previously in the last 7 days. And all users get the same outcome. Asking here for abandoned trees to be reported will not achieve anything more than reporting them yourself
David, Someone needs to raise a support call on Abandoned trees then because it doesn't do what GENI says it does. It is supposed to add the reassigned manager to the unclaimed profiles (whilst leaving the existing abandoned manager there in case they come back) but it doesn't do that. This leaves the tree abandoned forever and keeps sending update requests to people who have left GENI.

Could a curator add this profile Private
to the https://www.geni.com/projects/Baghdadi-Trade-Diaspora-Jews-in-Shang... project.
The profile manager came up "Abandoned Tree" so cannot approve any requests
It seems the same / a similar issue has been reported previously at http://help.geni.com/entries/22120435-Profiles-were-not-totally-tra...
While we are on the topic of abandoned trees. I have an issue with living people who end up in abandoned trees and are then re-assigned by the system to very distant relatives where there may be a much closer relative who is active on Geni. eg. My husband and brothers were re-assigned to my half sister-in-law's first cousin.
Hi Curators, can you please assist in splitting the tree.
My cousins Profile https://goo.gl/iw6h7V (Sanjeev Nadgir) has been assigned a wrong set of parents ( prabhakars ). We wish to delete them. and keep "Nadgirs" as the only set of parents. Are you able to help? Thank you in advance.

Could someone please delete Patricia Lewisohn
She is alive and duplicated but for some reason Geni won't allow me to delete her

Why were you trying to delete the original profile instead of the one you added?
Anyway we prefer to merge profiles rather than delete them so I merged the two.

Please merge:

or else *get rid of them*.
They are Zombies or worse.
I removed several other "Forbidden" matches - don't know what Geni is up to, but I *do not like it*.
While we're on the subject of problems, this person
is almost certainly NOT the son of Rev. John Welch of Ayr (there is no record of him having a son John, let alone one born in Northamptonshire rather than Scotland), and may not be the father of Maj. John Welsh of Maryland (whose parentage has *never* been documented).
I am pretty sure this link is bogus, possibly completely Fictitious (no primary evidence for a John Welch m. Margaret or Elizabeth Prousta in Northamptonshire or anywhere else).
It's going to play heck with a lot of lines, including mine, to break it - but it probably should be broken.
What's worse, Gustave Anjou's dirty fingerprints are all over the "Rev. John Knox" descent., at least in regard to Rev.John Witherspoon, Founding Father and Signer.

Whether this is more Anjou fraud, or something else, it requires investigation with the most careful scrutiny and *nothing but* verified primary sources accepted as fact.
GENI asking for merge can not be accomplished to of the profiles have been recreated within the past moth and not merged into the older one listed first

Just ignore those matches for a while. They are a temporary part of some new feature Geni is working on.
