Joachim יהוֹיָקִים Hawn and I have been working on Phoebe Collins . She is frequently linked to Mahlon Collins, but I think the work done by Joachim disproves this connection. But, there are a lot of trees on MH, etc, that show this linkage. We do have one match, Phebe Skeele , that has a closer to accurate connection. Before I go rearranging things, could someone with some Virginia experience take a look at this?

This quote, to me, sums up well:

I do not see how Phebe would get from Chester NH to marry in Sussex NJ, by herself age 20, particularly when the NH gal married a Skeets.

So my opinion is you're on the right track to disconnect and perhaps ?? her reported birth surname of "Webster."

To me the most likely scenario is Mahlon married only her, and she was local to Sussex NJ.
