Can somebody please assist. I added 5 children of Johanna Christina Barbier as listed on her death notice (attached to her profile)
I only noticed afterwards that they are listed as her husbands children with another mother. The duplicates needs to be disconnected from the incorrect mother and merged with the children on this profile.
Thank you.
Charmaine, please look again at the document attach the children mother was Johanna Christina Barbier.
See also the baptism that was add to her child JOHAN HENDRIK KOTZE born 26 Nov 1821. The mother was indeed Johanna Barbier and not GREEFF.

Could someone please disconnect this woman Christina Eriksdotter Matthias Petri (1533-1611) Gunde Grubbe whom someone have set up as the "father" to Gunde Grubbe ?
Someoe created in August 2015 this profile, Saint Olaf II, King of Norway
and it's a duplicate of this one, Saint Olaf II, King of Norway and now it looks like the wife had two husbands. Could a curator fix this so it doesn't look this way?
Private User I meant that the mother is Johanna Christina Barbier as per the death notice attached to her profile and not the children of Jacoba Beatrix Carolina Daneel
Going back to the profile I now also see 2 profiles for Johanna Christina Barbier. I'm not sure what happened while I was asleep.
Marie Vermeulen-Boshoff That's exactly what I meant. Maybe I did not make myself very clear. I added the DN to the profile.
Hello, folks.
I have reason to believe that this private, living profile --
Martha (Molly) Paskin Strongwater
is the same person as this public, deceased profile --
Martha (Molly) Paskin Strongwater
I cannot see the blocked, private name, so i may be wrong, of course.
Can you help? Are they the same person? If so, and if they can be merged by someone with admin access, i will be saved the trouble of building duplicated profiles for a couple of generations, both up and down the Strongwater family tree ,and having to merge them at a later date.
Thanks for any assistance, as always.

There are absolutely nothing that match, except the name.
The first profile is just a name, spouse and children and the second one does only have parents and siblings.
The fact that the second profile have another last name than the parents does however indicate that she was married, so adding the spouse and eventually children could create a reliable match.
Coming back with more information, now.
I have added the children of Martha Paskin Strongwater and Charlie Strongwater, and also 2 of their grandchildren. You can see what i have here --
http://www.geni.com/family-tree/index/6000000039240938395
or here --
Martha (Molly) Paskin Strongwater
So now i am asking again -- are these the same people? If so, can you "decease" Martha so i can merge her dupes and all the other dupes i just made? If not, please let me know,
Thanks!
http://www.geni.com/people/%C3%9E%C3%B3ra- if I split the link, I see this name, Thora-Ragnvaldsd%C3%B3ttir/6000000001041477219 but the name still shows up as Tora Jonsdatter for me in this profile.
Hello, Curators --
I have a question about "the way things work" in the database.
Periodicaly, i am presented with suggestions for merges. These have, to date, always been suggestions made by my Geni-active cousins> These sometimes involve merging smaller, private family-trees into the World Tree, where my cousins and i prefer to operate, and sometimes involve merging duplicates in the World Tree that had been created by previous contributors, and which have only recently been discovered.
I have always affirmed that these merges are accurate and correct.
However, when i do so, literally nothing happens. I am only at Pro status (as are my cousins) and apparently it takes a Curator to make the final merge -- or does it?
Here are my questions:
1. How many Pro members have to approve a merge before it is merged?
A. Is this an automatic function (.e.g. If 3 Pros approve a merge, it goes through)?
B. If it is not automatic, are Curators flagged when a certain number (what number?) of Pros have approved a merge, and then the Curator pushes the button?
2. Does the number of Pros who affirm a match matter at all, or will the Curators eventually see every request for a merge, even if only one Pro has affirmed it?
3. Does time matter?
A. Is a notice sent to the profile manager(s) and after a certain amount of elapsed time, they are considered non-responsive and the Curatos step in?
B. Is there simply a backlog and eventually Curators will get to all merges, but they are starting with the ones that have the largest number of Pro affirmations?
Thanks for any clarification.
