Esbern Vagnsen Galen (Hvide) It looks better, thanks Krishnaiah, unfortunately, a tree don't just have to look good, it must also fit with some sort of chronology, and most of all, be backed up with sources, if there are any. The Udsen tree have been a guessing tree for quite some time, with people from different centuries mixed up just as nothing would hinder imagination from colliding with logic and unfortunately, too many cooks really spoil the broth in this case. ; )

Help, I need the intervention of a curator. I noticed Private is the curator for profiles earlier in the tree, I'm not sure who to ask. to help me here.
Recent additions to my family tree highlighted a potential problem and while trying to find sources new profiles are being added which I believe may be incorrect. I have contacted the managers but have had no response.

According to the profile of Petrus Jacobus Swanepoel he had 12 children from 2 marriages.
(I’m still looking for sources for the children)

Two of these children were Dirk Johannes Lourens Swanepoel and Dirk Johannes Swanepoel
Now this is where it gets confusing, according to the profiles you’ll notice that:
Dirk Johannes Swanepoel married Francina Barendina Fourie and Francina Barendina Bothma
and
Dirk Johannes Lourens Swanepoel married Francina Barendina Botha

I believe children are being added to the incorrect parents.
Incorrect dates and parents have been added to the spouses.
How do I stop merges etc until I can find enough resources?

Charmaine and myself work close together and at this moment it is starting to irritate us. Correcting, deleting, undo, redo, but I am asking Pieter Taljaard to get me estates as much as I can. He has been appointed as official eGGSA archive photographer of Estates in the Free State - but once It is outside the Free State we have a problem.
Charmaine I know how hard you try and will look at it later today.

Private User I see what you mean. And the 1st one I looked at has a death notice with the wife and children. I will ask Pieter Taljaard to get me the DN again ans also look for the parents and wife. I see there are 2 wifes on the profile but only 1 on the DN.

I have made Pieter Taljaard aware of this problem. He has all the Swanepoel DN's he could get his hands on so far.
He did the research for himself, me and various others on Geni.

Private, I will add what I can find on F-search to the relevant profiles.

Someone who apparently don't know anything about history, have made a mess and deleted some profilesand or moved them around just like someone shuffling a deck of card in the tree around this two profiles,

Are there any chance to have that person blocked and the profiles redone?

Hello. Would you please HELP with the DUPLICATES problem on my database. I have tried to remove all the existing entries on my tree so I can try to remove the MANY duplicates but it has not worked. I need help deleting these duplicates.
I also have a problem with previously deleted entries reappearing without any action on my part.
IS THERE ANY WAY TO DELETE ALL THE ENTRIES IN MY DATABASE SO I CAN START OVER FROM AN EMPTY DATABASE WITH NO DUPLICATES? THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP.

The best thing to do with duplicates is not to delete, but to merge. It's still a pain if there are a lot of them.

If you really want to "start over", find a good place to *disconnect* the unwanted ancestors (ask for a Curator's help if you can't do this yourself).

The discarded tree then becomes someone/anyone/everyone else's problem and not yours any longer.

Peter Josef Houbé, help me understand what you want as an end product.
I looked at your tree and you have a lot of "no name" profiles. Is that what you want? My guess is that you are deleting names rather than profiles.

This someone was me. Curator of Pallig Tokesen and Danish historians. apperently Ulf things he nows more than the Danish historians on the subject. I told him earlier today to ask the Dansih National museum and that of the history faculties if he did believe what I said. Insted he chooses this course.

Also I have no luck in using the pull down tab to report the profile deceased I always get a message back that it is wrong and has not been accepted or have in the past - have not bothered trying this time
