Profiles Mentioned:

It has been said that when Robert the Bruce stabbed his cousin ( John Comyn ) on the alter at Greyfriars Kirk. He was upset and confused when asked by his men if John was dead. He said that he did'nt know, So several of the men entered the church and finished the deed. Robert Fleming supposedly cut off John's head and proclaimed " Let the Deed Shaw " which is the motto on the family crest. Robert was also given many of the "Red Comyn's" lands. Harold R.Fleming
